Return of the Swans

On May 3rd, we headed to the Boston Gardens with our friends Daija and Bridger to meet up with our church playgroup. The big event? Romeo and Juliet of course! They are the resident swans in the Swan Pond in Boston Gardens.

We were entertained by this band:

Landon was super excited by it, or not.

Then we got to see Romeo and Juliet as they headed up the parade to the pond:

We were at the tail-end of the parade, so we couldn't hear what was being said, but we did see the swans make their way into the pond. Oh the water looked so refreshing!

Then we got to celebrate the love of Romeo and Juliet with free lemonade, ice cream, and I think they had swan shaped cookies too.

Then we took a swan boat ride. Landon let me know he didn't really enjoy his first swan boat ride, by crying most of time. Everyone else knew he wasn't happy as well.

It was such a beautiful day in such an amazingly beautiful city! I'm constantly amazed how gorgeous it is here.
